LMFT
Fees - $400 if never licensed in California previously. If licensed previously in California, $250 if applying based on credential and $500 if applying based on education/experience.
Must complete California specific coursework and pass California Law and Ethics exam.
Requirements if applying with out of state license - must have held a LMFT license in another state for at least 2 years and is active and unrestricted. Must be the highest level for independent clinical practice in that jurisdiction. The degree that qualified you for this license is a master’s or doctoral degree obtained from a school holding a regional or national institutional accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), or a school approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
LCSW
Fees - $400 if never licensed in California previously. If licensed previously, $400 if the California Law and Ethics Exam has not been passed and $250 if the exam has been passed.

Psychologist
Fees - $50 application fee, $235.20 CPLEE examination fee and $500 license fee
Pre-licensure coursework - The following must be completed prior to licensure and can be completed anytime throughout your application process: Human Sexuality (10 hours), Alcohol/Chemical Dependency Detection and Treatment (15 hours and Course must be completed at an academic institution), Child Abuse Assessment (7 hours), Spousal or Partner Abuse Assessment, Detection, and Intervention Strategies (2 hours if you began graduate training between January 1, 1995 and December 31, 2003 and 15 hours if you began graduate training on or after January 1, 2004), Aging and Long-Term Care (6 hours) and Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention (6 hours)
